Romani Inspired

The fabric for this purse was given to me by my fellow ASG member, Anita. It was a while ago, I just could not decide what to make of it, until I saw a documentary about Django Reinhardt. Later, I came to know that some of the most famous Flamenco dancers and performers are Romani. Their costumes, their music and the voices of the singer accompanying the dancers were just amazing. It as just very uplifting and inspiring!!
After watching the documentary, I thought of doing something, something as uplifting to my spirit. This fabric was the answer! I decided to practice my beading on the wristlet's chain. My daughter said, I've done well. And, I feel great!

Birthday Wristlets

These cute wristlets were made as a "thank you gifts" for my daughter's friends during her 12th birthday party. They went for a movie, then came back for cake and ice cream. My poor husband had to chaperon 5 screaming pre-teens to the movie. The party was a success, according the next day report from her guests.

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all and may we all be able to survive "Black Friday"! Hehehehe

This is my first post after a long hiatus. It's just plain lazy, I have no excuses at all. I have been sewing and mending the past few months and trying to keep everything together. We had a circle of flu going on at my house. The first casualty was my son Emir, then me. Followed by our two daughters and my husband, the emergency room staffers knew us by sight! A few days later, our youngest, Imran. It was a harrowing experience.

Again, Happy Thanksgiving to you.
