David Copperfield

My daughter was reading the said Dickens novel; for her book report. Am so glad she decided to read the book instead of watching one of the movie adaptations of the book. Anyway, Daniel Radcliffe's first big break was as David Copperfield in 1999 opposites Dame Maggie Smith as Aunt Bestsey Trotwood, and Ian MacKellan as Mr. Creakle the cruel Headmaster at the Salem House boarding school.


I love Dickens's novels, the introduction to the characters, what, when, how and why things happened in the their lives and at the end everybody more or less get what they deserved! What is your favourite Dickens novel???

My husband was asking if I could make him a gym bag.

Well, I decided to make him a 17 inch by 15 inch big tote, enough to accommodate his towel, change of clothes and his sneakers.

Another Christmas goodie bag.

This tote bag was made as a gift for a friend. It's 9' by 9'. This is my first attempt at making a poinsettia flower.

I started making hot pads when my husband was stationed at NASWI in Washington. These are made from old denims, hand applique and hand quilted. Size 6 by 6 which is enough to rest your big tea pot or a sizeable coffee mug.

I sold the hot pads at the local farmers' market via the PTA booth from my children's school.

My first customer - my daughter's second grade teacher.

I made this book bag (from my husband's old chinos and he's none the wiser) for my daughter's friend Elijah, for their Christmas gifts exchange at her pre-school. It was actually smaller than I had planned but enough to fit a small wrapped truck in it.
